Applications for Fall 2026 Agriculture Innovation Grant Open October 1
FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Office of Agriculture will accept applications for the Fall 2026 cycle of the Agriculture Innovation Grant Program from October 1 until October 30 at 4 p.m. This competitive funding opportunity supports local agricultural operations seeking to grow, diversify, and strengthen their businesses.
“The Agriculture Innovation Grant helps local producers turn promising ideas into lasting opportunities,” said Katie Stevens, Director of the Office of Agriculture. “By supporting innovation, sustainability, and business growth, we’re strengthening Frederick County’s agricultural community and helping ensure its continued success.”
Grants of $5,000 or more are available to a broad range of agricultural businesses, including crop and livestock producers, value-added producers, seafood processors, timber product processors, and agricultural cooperatives. Eligible uses include infrastructure, equipment, research and development, and processing facilities.
Established in 2021, the Agriculture Innovation Grant has awarded more than $2 million to fund 88 agricultural projects throughout the county. These investments have helped create more than 300 jobs and advance the long-term sustainability of the agricultural sector.
Applications will be evaluated by a committee that will recommend recipients to the County Executive for final approval. The program is highly competitive.
